License Agreement-

As the original purchaser of sets of blue prints of a plan from Creative Home Designs, Inc. of America, you are hereby granted a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to build one and only one home, either as depicted in this plan or as modified by the purchaser.  Use of the plan to build more than one home is prohibited.  The plans may not be reproduced, modified, or transferred without the express written consent of Creative Home Designs Inc., of America.

Reproducible License Agreement-

As the original purchaser of a reproducible plan from Creative Homes Designs, Inc. of America, you are hereby granted a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to build one and only one home, either as depicted in the plan or as modified by the purchaser.  Permission is given to reproduce the plan only as required for the construction of a single home.  Use of the plan, either in original form or as modified by the purchaser to build more than one home is prohibited.  Permission is also given to modify the plans but no permission is given to claim copyright in the original or modified plans.  All copyright and title block information must remain on all prints, reproducibles, electronic media, and sales media.  Creative Home Designs, Inc. of America must be recognized as the original designer of the plan and any modified version or redrawn version of the plan.  The modified plans shall remain subject to this license, but Creative Home Designs, Inc. of America is not liable for any plan modified by anyone other than Creative Home Designs, Inc. of America.  The plans in either original form or as modified may not be sold, distributed or otherwise transferred without the express written consent of Creative Home Designs, Inc., of America.

Restrictions-

All plans of Creative Home Designs, Inc. of America are protected under United States copyright laws and are property of Creative Home Designs, Inc.  Any use (construction, distribution, marketing, copying or modifying) of the plans must be authorized by Creative Homes Designs, Inc. of America or Creative Home Designs, Inc. 

Copyrights-

Much like music, books, and movies, federal copyright laws protect the rights of home designers by giving copyright protection to home plans and designs.  These laws prevent anyone from copying, modifying, or reusing the plans or designs without the permission from the copyright owner. 

There is a common misunderstanding that it is permissible to copy, change, and adapt a floor plan or design found in any media.  This is false.  If you would like a particular floor plan or design, you would need to purchase the plans from an authorized source.

Reproducible plans come with a license to make modifications to the plans.  Once modified, it does not free itself from the original designer’s copyright.  The sale or the reuse of the modified design is a copyright infringement.  Also, be aware that any modification to plans relieves the designer from liability for design defects and voids all warranties expressed or implied.

NOTE: plans do not carry an architects/engineers stamp

We Calculate our square footage from outside brick (or frame). Decks, porches, garages, attics, fireplaces, etc. are not included in our living area calculations. stairs are counted once and balconies and open walkways in two story and vaulted areas are included in the area.
